Green Bay Packer Tutu

Okay, so it was my first attempt at making tutus and it went fairly well although it could have gone smoother. I stopped at a local store to pick up a few yards of different colored "shiny" tulle. I got a couple yards of blue, pink, purple, yellow, green, and white. The idea was to make about 3 or 4 with the amount i got. The first one i tried to make is the short "green bay packer" one. (You know us in wisconsin put our packers first). Cutting the tulle into the strips was rather difficult. I will be using rolls from now on!

Anyways here is the Green Bay Packer one! (for sale on my ebay)

I was not quite sure (and still am debating) if the ribbon gives it a fancy look or is just TOO much. I didnt actually run my fingers through it before the picture because i think the waves and crinkles is kind of cute... but  it does straighten out a bit... that is the cool thing about using tulle! Anyways, I was thinking of doing other NFL teams also, made by order only though. So, if that happens to be something yourself or even your husband (hehe) would like done, I'm your lady! or your Tutu Lady rather :)

Why tutus!?

                                              Simple. Little girls LOVE tutus!

True story: My mother decided to sew and put together a few different types "dress-up" or "play" clothes for my 2 year old daughter Alexis. To be honest, i wasn't too sure of the idea, thinking it could potentially be a waste of time and money, considering she was only 2 and only stayed interested in most things for VERY short periods of time. To my surprise she has played with the tutu her grandma made for her more than ANY toy she's ever owned, and has the same gigantic smile on her face every time!  I had been thinking of opening some sort of online business for quite some time before that and it did'nt take me very long to realize THAT is what i wanted to sell. Seeing the look on my little girls face everytime i make a new different colored tutu is priceless and to know that my tutus are putting that SAME gigantic smile on other little princess' faces is just as amazing.
